With funding from Perth & Kinross Council, and Scottish and UK Governments through the Tay Cities Deal, Perth is currently undergoing a cultural transformation central to which is the £26.5 million redevelopment of Perth City Hall as a major new museum venue scheduled for opening in 2024.

 

Following an announcement by the Commissioners for the Safeguarding of the Regalia in December 2020, it was confirmed that the Stone of Destiny will return to Perthshire to sit at the heart of the new City Hall museum.
