Fundraising
-
2020 saw a 72% decrease in income from individual giving as a result of the pandemic.
-
We continued to fundraise throughout the year.
-
Secured funding from Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Fund and the Third Sector Resilience Fund.
-
Other funders included the Carnegie Trust, the Crockart Foundation, the Gannochy Trust, Jimmie Cairncross Charitable Trust, John Ellerman Foundation, the National Fund for Acquisitions, the Scottish Book Trust and Museums and Galleries Scotland who supported us through both their Covid 19 Adaptation fund and the COVID 19 Museum Development Fund
A review of our Fundraising Strategy was undertaken by Catherine Holden Consulting and the results and recommendations arising from this were reported to the Board in July 2020. These have been developed into an action plan which is being taken forward by the Executive Team
